Join us to learn the dos and don’ts of approaching a gallery and how to prepare for artist representation. Our speaker is Simone Fischer, Director and Chief Curator of the Masure Gallery of Photography, 6483 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth. 

The mission of the Masure Gallery is to “provide a professional and inspiring space where local photographers can showcase their work, grow their talents, and connect with audiences through the transformative power of photographic art.”  

Simone earned a master’s degree of fine art with an emphasis in photography from Pacific Northwest College of Art at Willamette University. She taught student critique seminars as the Graduate Thesis Exhibition Coordinator and was the college’s fine art documentation photographer. 

She has been mentored by leading contemporary photographers Robert Lyons at the University of Hartford Art School and Teresa Christensen, former documentation photographer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum, New York City. 

Simone has been published in “Juxtapoz,” “Boom Magazine,” “Art Review,” and “Artsy Scoop.”  She was the previous gallery manager of Artspace111 & Caravan of Dreams Gallery, 400h Gallery and Zona7 Gallery in Sundance Square.  She currently sits on the committee for the Creative Laureate Program for the City of Fort Worth
