- Using Online Tools to Find Birds
- Presented by Charles Morris
- Image shown is rarely seen in Texas
- Find a PDF of this presentation.

The modern smartphone offers tremendous opportunities for the birder / photographer to research localities for migrating and resident birds. We will be exploring the following apps which are available to us:
- iBird Pro (iPhone)
- Merlin Bird ID
- eBird
- BirdsEye
(the later three are also available for android phones). Install the apps on your phone prior to the workshop so that you can better follow along with the presentation. I will be demonstrating their use on local birding hotspots as well as my past road trips.
Charles Morris is an avid bird photographer who won the 2018 Photograph of the Year, and the 2020 Digital Photograph of the Year with his work with hummingbirds. He just completed a road trip from McAllen, Texas (where he photographed the Bat Falcon), through South Padre Island, and RockPort Texas (capturing the Whooping cranes),
