Composition Beyond the Basics Workshop: Jan. 18, 2022

Robert Chura

Learn how Master photographer Robert Chura visualizes and composes his award-winning photos at our first workshop of 2022.

This will be a discussion on the basics of Composition and a further look beyond the basic rules, says Robert. The workshop also will discuss how to implement principles of composition during and after the image has been created.

Robert was named the club’s digital Photographer of the Year in 2021 in the Master class, one of many awards he has received during his more than 30 years as a club member.

Says Robert: “I like to think of myself as a producer of fine-art prints and truly strive for the final image on the wall to be of high quality rather than a producer of images to be bought and sold en mass. His prints have been sold to private collectors and exhibited in various area shows where they regularly win ribbons.

He is a Lifetime member of the Fort Worth Camera Club and held several offices and board positions during the years, including president in 1988.

Previous club awards in have been Photographer of the Year in Black and White Prints in 1988, Master Class Print Photographer of the year for 1996, 2008, 2010, 2011 ,2012 and 2016 and 10 Print of the Year Awards.

Robert often can be found around abandoned buildings: “I  post every day on the Facebook Page Abandoned Texas. I also like wildlife (mainly birds) and several of my images have been featured on various Facebook pages.”
